Royal Mail Strike
Please click on the following link to read the message we received this afternoon from Royal Mail regarding their service levels over the next two working days following their recently confirmed national strike.
As you will see it is unlikely that collections will take place tomorrow however, please continue to send your post through us here at P&P, as we will ensure all the post we receive up until 6.15pm is delivered the same evening to the Maidstone sorting office.
The extent of the upcoming delays cannot be determined at this time as the backlog will be considerable and may take Royal Mail days to work through. We are assured by Royal Mail management that backlog mail is processed first. Therefore, please do not assume that waiting until the industrial action is finished and then sending your post will speed up your deliveries. The best general advice we can offer you is to send items by post and get them into the system unless you can afford a next day delivery service.
Royal Mail Special Deliveries cannot be guaranteed over the next few days, however, as an independent postal retailer we at P&P do not rely on Royal Mail for our despatches and can therefore offer you the usual alternatives for next day deliveries throughout mainland UK (excluding highlands & islands) at the usual prices:
Items weighing up to 500g £5.10+ VAT (£5.87)
Items weighing up to 1kg £6.25+VAT (£7.19)
Items weighing up to 25kg £10.20+VAT (£11.73)
You will find our price list downloadable in PDF format from our web-site.
Lastly, if you do have any questions regarding delivery services locally, nationally and internationally then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our utmost to advise you of the best solutions available.
